Widex at a glance.
Widex is known for sound quality. It processes sound faster than most hearing aids, which cuts out the slight echo or tinny edge some people notice, and it has long been a favorite with musicians and people who care how things sound.
If you’re new to hearing aids and have a mild loss, or you’ve tried hearing aids before and found them artificial, Widex is worth hearing. Your hearing test tells us whether it suits your results.
Why we fit Widex hearing aids.
Danish and family-founded in 1956
Widex has been making hearing aids in Denmark since 1956, and natural sound has been its focus all along.
Sound with zero delay
Widex processes sound in about half a millisecond, so voices sound clean, with no echo. Musicians love it.
Meet the Allure.

Every hearing aid needs a moment to process sound. When that moment is long enough to notice, your own voice arrives a fraction late and can sound hollow or doubled.
Widex built the Allure around its ZeroDelay technology to fix exactly that. Widex says it processes sound unlike any other hearing aid, so speech comes through clear, natural and free of distortion.
Programmed to your own hearing test before you take it home.
What it's like to wear the Allure.
- Your own voice, on timeIf your old hearing aids made you sound like you were talking in a tin can, this is the one to try.
- Noise stays in the backgroundWidex softens unwanted noise so conversation comes forward, without shutting out the room around you.
- Help in the appAdjust bass and treble, ask the app for a quick sound suggestion, or track down a misplaced hearing aid.
Pros and cons.
Who this one suits, and who’d be better off with another brand.
A good match if you are
- The person who gave up on an old pair. If it was because of how your own voice sounded, start here.
- The musician, or anyone who listens closely. Natural sound first is the whole idea.
- The person who wants the whole room, not just the talking. Widex keeps the background rather than cutting it away.
Maybe not if you are
- The person whose worst room is a busy restaurant. Widex keeps more of the background on purpose, so if cutting noise is your top priority, a hearing aid built mainly around noise reduction may suit you better.

Is Widex better than the other five you fit?
No single brand is best for everyone. The right one depends on your hearing, your ears and the places you find hardest to hear. We work with six leading hearing aid manufacturers and recommend based on your hearing test results.
Which Widex model would you fit me with?
We decide that after your hearing test. We offer complimentary hearing evaluations in our office. Once we’ve seen your results and heard which situations are hardest for you, we’ll show you one or two models and explain why.
Can you reprogram Widex hearing aids I bought somewhere else?
Yes. We reprogram, clean and repair hearing aids bought elsewhere. You don’t have to buy from us to be looked after here. Here’s how that works.
Will my insurance cover any of this?
We work with most insurance plans. Bring your card to your hearing test and we’ll check what yours covers, or call 407-949-6737 and ask first.
