Starkey at a glance.

Starkey builds tough hearing aids with long battery life. If you sweat in the Florida heat, spend time on the water, or tend to forget to charge things, Starkey is worth a look.

Starkey also puts more into its app than most brands: step counting, a balance exercise program, and an AI assistant you can simply talk to when something doesn’t sound right. If you like your technology to do a bit more, Starkey is worth hearing.

Why we fit Starkey hearing aids.

American-owned since 1967

Founded in 1967 in Minnesota, Starkey is the only American-owned hearing aid maker.

Hearing aids that look after your health

Starkey hearing aids can count your steps, guide balance exercises and alert a loved one if you fall.

Meet the Omega AI.

Starkey Omega AI

Life doesn't pause for hearing aids. There's rain, sweat, a loud restaurant, and the occasional morning you can't remember where you put them.

Starkey built the Omega AI to keep up. It uses a new AI system to help you hear speech from every direction, and Starkey made it tougher, too, with a waterproof coating it says lasts 10 times longer than before.

Programmed to your own hearing test before you take it home.

What it's like to wear the Omega AI.

  • Ready for real lifeWaterproof up to one meter in the rechargeable styles, built for sweat, rain and everyday bumps.
  • App adjustmentsTell the My Starkey app what's bothering you, and TeleHear AI makes a sound adjustment on the spot.
  • Health trackingThe app tracks steps and breathing rate, and offers at-home exercises to help with balance.

Pros and cons.

Who this one suits, and who’d be better off with another brand.

A good match if you are

  • The active person. Waterproofing and a long-lasting battery mean fewer things to worry about.
  • The person who wants their hearing aids to do more. Health tracking and balance exercises are built into the app.
  • The person who'd rather talk than tap. You can ask questions and change programs with your voice.

Maybe not if you are

  • The person who just wants to hear better, no extras. Much of what makes the Omega AI special lives in the app, so if health tracking and voice assistants aren't for you, a simpler hearing aid may be a better fit.

Questions people ask about Starkey.

Is Starkey better than the other five you fit?

No single brand is best for everyone. The right one depends on your hearing, your ears and the places you find hardest to hear. We work with six leading hearing aid manufacturers and recommend based on your hearing test results.

Which Starkey model would you fit me with?

We decide that after your hearing test. We offer complimentary hearing evaluations in our office. Once we’ve seen your results and heard which situations are hardest for you, we’ll show you one or two models and explain why.

Can you reprogram Starkey hearing aids I bought somewhere else?

Yes. We reprogram, clean and repair hearing aids bought elsewhere. You don’t have to buy from us to be looked after here. Here’s how that works.

Will my insurance cover any of this?

We work with most insurance plans. Bring your card to your hearing test and we’ll check what yours covers, or call 407-949-6737 and ask first.
