I do not have enough words to say how highly I feel about Altamonte Family Hearing. I have hearing aids that stopped working and I currently cannot afford new ones. I found them online, made an appt and they repaired them! Not once did they pressure me with any sales pitches and if I am being honest, I was prepared for that. They won a customer for life! I refused hearing aids for several years even after being tested by another company. Seeing the graph of hearing loss in higher pitch sounds did not convince me. Often people were not facing me when speaking and I disliked responding with " I can't hear you". My son had had been to Jaysee and was pleased with the practice. I made an appt for a check and got the same results as previously but now the graph showed more loss. Still I was not sure. About 6 mths later, my son decided it was time for me to return to Jaysee. I thought I was experiencing hearing loss and decided to do something about it. I noticed the Altamonte Family Hearing Office while visiting Senior Place for something else. I decided to stop by to discuss making an appointment. Francesca was as nice as could be and make an appointment convenient for ME! I met with Toni who did a very thorough job of assessing my hearing. She was so friendly and made feel most at ease. Once discovered that I was indeed experiencing hearing loss we discussed the best option for me. Hearing aids were ordered. When the hearing aids were delivered to the office, I was immediately called to make my next appointment. Once again, I met with Toni who expertly fitted me with the aids. She was a great teacher showing me how to put the aids in. VERY patient with me! Follow up visits are scheduled to be absolutely sure everything is going well. I managed to lose one hearing aid. Even though it was my fault Jaysee worked with me to get the aid replaced at as little cost as possible. I was so upset and he was so calm and again really worked with me. My hearing aids were personalized for me as Toni put adapters on so losing them would never happen again. I have recommended this office to a friend, and she felt the same way as me. I cannot praise these people enough! They went above and beyond what I was expecting as an out of state visitor, and if I lived in that area, this practice would be my one and only. I was vacationing in the Orlando area, and all of a sudden one of the drivers on my Oticon OPN1s went completely dead. It was only the beginning of the vacation, and I was dreading having only one hearing device the whole time. So I called around asking if they had components for my HAs, and Altamonte was the only practice that would call me back. Even though they were not my primary audiologist, and my HAs are pretty old, Altamonte took the time to come up with a solution for my conundrum. They were able to get my HA repaired in their office the same day, and get stereophonic hearing assistance back for me. Thanks to them, I was able to enjoy my vacation without struggling to understand family, and saved the trip down to FL. I’ve worked with many Audiology practices over the years, so I know a FANTASTIC practice when I see one. EXCELLENT customer service, a willingness to help out above and beyond what’s expected, a complete knowledge and expertise on what they do, and a VERY friendly staff! -Altamonte has all four. I may not be local (Hi from WY!), but I can say without hesitation that if you are, and you’re looking for an audiologist, I HIGHLY recommend Altamonte. I want to start this review by saying this has by far been the best experience I have had with healthcare. About a month ago, I came across them by googling places that can repair hearing aids. I called them 5 minutes before closing time and they happily answered my call for help and immediately re-assured me that they can help. I just got my second set of hearing aids from Altamonte Family Hearing.I can’t say enough good things about Jaycee Soto, who is patient, thorough, and highly knowledgable.. The hearing test he gave me was far more advanced than any I have had before, and he explained everything so clearly that I finally understood what I was missing in the world of sound, and why. I came home with my new hearing aids the day I saw him, and I had no adjustment period. They fit perfectly, and I am hearing so many sounds I didn’t know existed: the microwave signaling it is done, the beeps on the washer and the dryer, my car’s parking brake signal, even the turn signal. My kids are happy not to have to repeat everything they say. And it’s so nice to hear what others say. My tiny hearing aids are invisible under my hair, fit comfortably behind my ears, and can even be controlled via my cell phone—a nice feature—and I love the bluetooth capability. I recently took my 88-year-old mother-in-law to Altamonte Family Hearing Center, and I truly can’t say enough good things about our experience. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by Franchesca at the front desk. She was so polite and kind — my mother-in-law casually mentioned, “Oh look, they have coffee,” and without missing a beat, Franchesca got up and made her a cup. It was such a thoughtful and sweet gesture, and it really set the tone for the rest of our visit. We then met with Jaysee Soto, the hearing specialist and owner of the center. Jaycee is incredibly knowledgeable, not only about hearing aids but also about insurance coverages. He took the time to explain the pros and cons of what different insurance companies offer and walked us through the various plans he provides for hearing aids — which, by the way, are very reasonably priced. I was provided with the most comprehensive fitting and testing with real ear measurements to allow me to get the maximum benefit from the newest Phonak hearing aid. I highly recommend Altamonte Family Hearing (the office of Jaysee Soto, HAS, BC-HIS). The office staff is professional, kind and accommodating. My dad was diagnosed with hearing deficit and given prescriptions for hearing aids for the second time. He was fitted with hearing aids from one of the large wholesale clubs in central Florida. He paid $2000.00 for the hearing aids, but was never able to wear them. He felt that his hearing was not any better with the hearing aids despite multiple adjustment. I decided that we needed a Spanish speaking audiologist. Jaysee Soto, was recommended by my neighbor who was very happy with his hearing aids. Jaysee was professional, compassionate and willing to spend a great deal of time with my dad to ensure he was comfortable with the hearing aids. I am happy to report that my dad is wearing his hearing aids without any prompting from the family. I too had a prescription for hearing aids from a prominent ENT (ear, nose and throat) audiologist office. Noticing my dad’s satisfaction with his hearing aids; I decided to schedule an appointment to have my hearing tested. After a thorough examination, Jaysee noted that I did not need hearing aids. My right ear, was normal, the left ear had a 15% decreased in hearing with normal bone conduction. He felt that this was a nerve conduction problem and referred me back to my ENT specialist for further evaluation. I appreciate Jaysee ethical values. He could have sold me a pair of hearing aids, but instead he followed his professional oath. Thank you Jaysee for your exceptional care. It took me over a year to finally give in and get new devices. Last year I went in and Jaysee and Grace were so helpful. They took their time with looking at my insurance and what it covered. I came back with new coverage and it was still a better deal out of pocket than using insurance. For more than 2 years, my teenager has had trouble with headaches, dizzy spells, and hearing related issues. She could not enjoy TV, crowded places, or even swimming in the pool due to the pressure in her ears. Jaysee was so friendly and reassuring during the exam.
